On behalf of the New York State Pain Society, we invite Medical Students, Residents, Fellows and all healthcare practitioner students (i.e. therapist, nurse, pharmacy, psychology) to participate in the Trainee Abstract Competition to be held in conjunction with the Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions, April 27-29, 2018 at the Renaissance Westchester Hotel, West Harrison, New York.

WE ALSO ACCEPT ABSTRACTS FROM PRACTICING PHYSICIANS AND HCPS. PLEASE FOLLOW GUIDELINES BELOW (not eligible for poster competition or for complimentary meeting registration but may be chosen for poster display)

Abstract Submission

ABSTRACTS SUBMISSION EXTENDED TO MARCH 9, 2018

All abstracts must be submitted in WORD format and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. The author is expected to attend the meeting and present the abstract as a 3X5 landscape color poster as part of the Friday APRIL 27 oral poster competition. If an abstract was previously submitted to a different meeting it may still be submitted to the New York State Pain Society Annual Meeting and Scientific Sessions. The presenting author must be a Medical Student, Resident, Fellow, or other practitioner student and is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission to the Society. Co-authors need not be Trainees.

Guidelines for Submission

Your Abstract must include:

Presenting Author's Contact Details
Full first and family name(s) (as you wish for these to be published on the Program USB and Final Program)
Full postal address
Email address (required as all communications will be by electronic mail)
Daytime and evening phone numbers
Author and Co-Authors' Details
Affiliation details: department, institution / hospital, city, state (if relevant), country
Abstract Title (Limited to 25 words)
Abstract Text Limited to 500 words - (Please Note: word count is affected when graphs/tables/images are added)

Abstract topic: Abstracts must be allocated to a specific topic for the scientific program. Please choose from the following topics:

Prize Packages for Trainees in Poster Competition

The Society will award travel prizes for best abstract submission. On Friday, April 27 posters are to be displayed by noon. At 6:15 p.m., an oral poster competition is scheduled at which time each Trainee presenter will give a 3-minute oral presentation on his / her poster. All Trainee Scholar oral presenters are eligible to win a cash prize for best oral presentation.
